	IHY-NIGERIA Coordinating Committee and Secretariat Communication and Organization 2nd Annual IHY-Nigeria National Workshop, 19-21 July 2006 African Regional IHY School National Coordinating Committee and Secretariat The National Coordinating Committee is headed by the IHY-Nigeria National Coordinator, Dr. A. Babatunde Rabiu of the Federal University of Technology, Akure, who is the point of contact for the National Coordinating Committee and Secretariat for IHY-Nigeria. The IHY-Nigeria National Coordinator is Dr. A. Babatunde Rabiu. Communication and Coordination IHY-Nigeria has hosted two national planning workshops. The second workshop was held 19 - 21 July 2006 and was hosted by the Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijagun, in Ijebu Ode. The workshop was extremely successful, with over 70 participants from 13 different research institutions. African Regional IHY School: November 10 - 22, 1008 IHY-Nigeria will host the African Regional IHY School in Nsukka, Nigeria. The school will feature internationally recognized researchers from many branches of heliophysics. The school will be held at the Centre for Basic Space Science, National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA) at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
