Observations

    Providing Observations for WHI: Yes
Observatory: CLIMSO at Pic du Midi
Type of Observation: high frequencies full disk images of the sun in H-alpha and KCaII lines, and h-alpha full limb coronagraphic images
Coverage for WHI: high frequencies full disk images in h-alpha and KCaII lines and of the h-alpha limb
Observation Location for WHI: Pic du Midi observatory
Observation Plans for WHI: CLIMSO provides series of simulatneous 2048*2048, 16 bits, images of the full sun disk in h-alpha and KCaII lines with two solar 90 mm solar telescopes, plus full limb h-alpha images with a 200 mm coronagraph. CLIMSO is generally operated with a 1 minute time resolution between two successive images in each wavelength, but the frequency of acquisition may be reached one image each 9 secondes. The format files for the data is FITS, with key words on the BASS2000 format. Observations are performed (under the weather conditions) in a daily survey mode by the "Observateurs AssociƩ team at Pic du Midi. Data are available at the BASS2000 solar data base (Tarbes and Meudon).
